NIOGOLD RESUMES DRILLING IN THE MALARTIC AND VAL-D'OR CAMPSMay 27, 2009 Val-d'Or, Quebec - Niogold Mining Corporation (TSX-V:NOX) (Frankfurt:NG1) ("NioGold") is pleased to announce that drilling operations are scheduled to resume in early June on the Company's Malartic and Val-d'Or area gold projects. The Marban deposit resource estimate is in progress. The 2009 drilling program will test several high priority targets identified along under-explored segments of the Norbenite-Marbanite and K Zone gold mineralised deformation corridors, part of the famous Larder Lake - Cadillac Deformation Zone. NioGold controls a 14 kilometre long segment of the Norbenite-Marbanite that is host to several past and current gold producers including Goldex (Agnico-Eagle), Kiena (Wesdome), Marban, Norlartic and Kierens (NioGold). Mine Development Associates was mandated in April to conduct a first resource estimate on the Marban gold deposit based on historical drilling and 90 diamond drill holes completed by NioGold. The Marban Mine produced 330,000 ounces of gold between 1961 and 1974. Two million tonnes of ore were mined from three shallow levels located between 150 to 250 metres depth and over a lateral distance of 700 metres. NioGold's drilling was successful in extending the Marban Mine Zones up to 500 metres on trend to the west as well as delineating two other gold mineralised structures to the north of the Mine Zones, namely the Wedge and Upper Wedge Zones. The east and depth extensions of the Marban deposits remain to be fully investigated. Rock Lefrançois, President & COO, comments: "Since 2006, we have completed 45,000 metres of drilling over a relatively small portion of our Malartic camp land holdings to further evaluate the Norlartic, Kierens and Marban gold deposits, where past mining extracted close to 600,000 ounces of gold. We are completing our evaluation of the mineralisation block out to date including a first resource estimate on the Marban deposit and upgraded resource estimates on the Norlartic and Kierens deposits released in 2007. In 2009, we will shift our focus to test targets over under-explored portions of the land holdings. Recent discoveries by Osisko, Wesdome and Alexis have proven the rewards of drilling in the camp". NioGold Mining Corporation – « The Golden Highway Runs Through NioGold » NioGold Mining Corporation is a junior exploration company primarily focused on GOLD. The Company's flagship projects are located in the Malartic and Val-d'Or gold mining camps, Abitibi region of Quebec. The Marban Block property encompasses three former gold producers, namely the Norlartic, Kierens (First Canadian), and Marban mines that collectively produced over 590,000 ounces of gold.
